The food at this restaurant is delicious, and the staff is friendly and always available to help with choosing a dish. It is best to book a table in advance.
We had an excellent meal here! We started with the soup of the day – a super tasty tomato soup with pineapple, served with homemade bread and dips. Delicious! For the main course, we tried the pork with honey and the fish curry. The fish curry was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had – even better than what we’ve had at Indian restaurants. So flavorful, packed with vegetables, and truly a must-try. To finish, we had a rich, creamy chocolate cake and a refreshing panna cotta – both the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Highly recommended! Do make a reservation, though – without one you probably won’t get a table. And keep in mind, it’s cash only.
We came in during week time with no reservation and managed to get a table thanks to a very attentive waitress. We ordered water, cheese plate, smoked tuna and platter of fish for two. The bill was around 50€ so fair price for what you get. The cheese platter was versatile and served along homemade bread, salsa and butter. The service was attentive and explained each dish to us and assured that all the ingredients are locally sourced. The fish arrived accompanied by two sides which were obviously not freshly prepared and lukewarm which was a bit of a letdown that was compensated by a delicious pineapple sauce which was great with the fish. The fish was served in 3 versions - in black pepper sauce, breaded in almonds and sesame. There were 9 pieces looking like chicken strips which made it challenging to share and looked off, not restaurant - like. I would serve each type of fish as one whole piece instead of 3 which then could be cut into 2 instead of halving already chicken strip-sized pieces. The same with cheese - each kind was served in 3 small pieces instead of 2 when ordered by 2 ppl. The tuna wasn't expensive but the serving was 5 small, about 4cm slices, 2-3mm thick, I'd rather pay little more and get a starter-size serving. Overall the service was really good, the inside is nice and the food is OK with fair price. For me, not enough to get back.
Cozy little restaurant with a good selection of food and drinks. All the dishes we ordered were really tasty, arranged very prettily and of high quality in general.
Hands down the best restaurant we tried in Flores and they’ve got great veggie options. The pineapple-tomato soup is next level (trust me, you need to try it, it’s their specialty). Plus, the waitress was super sweet and helpful, which made the whole vibe even better. Just a heads-up: definitely recommend booking ahead, it can get busy.
I loved this restaurant! The food is fresh, locally produced and made with care. The staff is very friendly and service is great. The selection of local cheese and smoked meat is delicious and super well presented. It deserves 5 ⭐
Apparently this is one of the top 3 restaurants in Flores and is generally booked out at least 2 days in advance. set out in a farmhouse, has a very cosy atmosphere. The dishes were extremely well prepared and the flavours stood out in each bite that one tasted. Worth the wait to try it!
Our favorite restaurant we tried on Flores! As other reviews noted, the pineapple tomato soup is superb, and we also loved their rosemary potatoes. The back of the menu advertised a tour of their garden, which we also did and highly enjoyed. The chef’s parents built a lovely home garden with a diverse array of fruits, vegetables and herbs and proudly take guests around it. After touring the grounds, they serve a picnic featuring their produce. A perfect cloudy day activity!
